25th March 2011 Is easily one of the best thai restaurants in CHCH. Prices are unbeleivably cheap especially the lunch menu $8-10. The setting is nice and the food is full of fresh ingredients and flavour. The staff are very friendly and allow you to change things off the menu. They remember your name and your favourite meal. The noodle soups are the best I have tried anywhere and they only cost $8.50. I have introduced many of my friends here and they eat here everyday.
With Sema's innovative Chef's Design Menu, Sema ignites the rich and inexhaustible traditions of Thai cooking with his own imaginative flair. We offer subtle spicing and intricately balanced flavors in striking presentations.
Dine in or takeaway menu's available, deliveries may be available in some areas.
20th September 2011 absolute exqusite soup and entree and delectable main as well as BYO wine, very courtious and friendly staff.(waitress almost denied my tip) A nice humble restaurant situated well just off the main road(Cranford st) for good noise factor, and next to a sports bar but not too close for a game of pool to finish on,

6th September 2010 I am a huge fan of Thai food and have been to most Thai restaurants in town. When I discovered Sema's it quickly became my favourite Thai restaurant in Christchurch.
Dined here last week with about 8 friends, every meal I tried tasted fresh and authentic and full of fresh ingredients.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the value was great with huge mains around $15 each and corkage only $3. For vegetarians I recommend the Satay Peanut Sauce with Tofu it's mind blowing :)
Can't wait till to my next visit!
