Ascension Homes undertook a rebuild of our leaky home. The project was priced from a Weathertight Homes assessors report.
We commissioned Allan to undertake the project mainly for his obvious eye for detail and his experience and history in the industry along with an extensive quotation.
We had a professional surveyor overseeing the project as we were claiming for damages. Our surveyor’s comments throughout the project were Allan had preempted all of his recommendations and had completed the project to the highest possible standard.
A leaky house repair is a very stressful situation for all parties concerned and Allan and his team handled all aspects of the contract in an exemplary manner.
Although the damage was found to be more extensive than first reported all extra work directed by our surveyor was explained in detail along with the expenditure by Allan leaving us with no concerns or surprise in the final cost.
The initial report showed a QS cost of $309,000 (Alan was below this amount) with the further damage found it was almost a total rebuild and was a $430,000 project.
In situations such as this you must have complete trust in the people involved, Allan showed integrity and honesty throughout the project along with going the extra mile in reporting, photographing and running daily job sheets for our claim.
Although there was pressure on Allan as we were renting the project was completed on time and budget.
The final result was fantastic and was handled so well including the management of all sub trades we would recommend Ascension Homes without hesitation to anyone in renovation or new build projects.
