We are an economic development agency that have three key aims: Attracting new businesses. Growing existing businesses and encouraging employment opportunities. We do this by: Taking a leadership role to facilitate development of business and other activities in Kawerau. Supporting Regional Economic Development. Supporting and helping existing businesses to grow. Encouraging new ventures to start up. Promoting Kawerau. Assisting in finding suitable land or business premises for sale, lease or rent. Advising interested parties of the substantial available resources in the Kawerau area. Being the first point of contact for those interested in setting up in business in Kawerau. Exploring funding sources. Providing relevant training facilities and courses, as required. Working to ensure sufficient industrial land is available in the locality. Providing industrial accommodation and industrial land. Working closely with Kawerau District Council to develop and expand businesses.
