There is a belief that free trade coffee is a good thing and Esquires touts this. If only the coffee was good then I would agree with them. Esquires is generally closing at about 5:00pm which makes it open after many Napier cafes have closed. The food appears to be mass produced elsewhere and shipped from outside of the region. I suspect Esquires is a bit like Starbucks and part of a chain. A good place to meet but eating and drinking here is a bit too expensive and over-rated. Has a loo unlike most food places in Napier.
