22nd October 2017 So glad we went to New Wing. Delighted with our new curtains, which they made sight unseen just working off the measurements we provided from our very distant home. The price was good, the quality of workmanship was just great and the best thing of all was the CHOICE of colours they offered me. I visited dozens of online and "bricks and mortar shops" and all I ever saw were the same currently fashionable but very dull beiges and creams and greys. At New Wing I was offered such a rainbow of colour choices l had seen nothing like it anywhere else. I had almost given up on finding the colours I had in mind until I walked into that shop.
The service was efficient for such a large order. It was done in good time with no long waits. Now my lounge, dining room and office are all transformed and injected with new life. Goodbye to the dreary grey drapes we had before and welcome to my vibrant new curtains. Thank- you New Wing! I'll certainly be back if ever I want new drapes again.

16th May 2015 I should have read the reviews before going to New Wing. I went in for. Quote for two Venetian blinds. I was quoted a certain price. I was happy with the price so paid a $50 deposit as a prerequisite for staff to come out and measure two spaces. I went back a few weeks later and was quoted another, more expensive price. When asked about the difference, I was told that the 'special' had finished and that it was now 20% off the original price instead of 30%. I WAS NOT TOLD THAT INITIALLY SO I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT THERE WAS A SPECIAL ON. NEITHER WAS I TOLD THAT THE SO CALLED SPECIAL WAS FOR A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME!
I would have liked to walk away then but I had $50 invested already. I asked for the blinds to be made. I just under half the cost. I was told that it would be done in a couple of weeks. A month and a half later, I called and was told that someone who spoke English better will call me back. When the person did, I was asked ' What is the problem?' I just think that in New Zealand, customer care is usually at such a hight standard that I was taken aback at how I was being spoken to. I was then told that the blinds were there and that I had to pay more for installation. Again, this came out of the blue as I know other companies install these blinds if ordered from them. I TOLD THEM THAT THIS WAS NOT POINTED PUT TO US WHEN WE ORDERED THE BLINDS AND THAT THE INVOICE DOES NOT SUGGEST IT EITHER! There was no compromise.
When I pointed out to him that the reviews, which I had seen after my first call that day, we're not good, he said that he did not care if we did the same. What a shame!
I think we are used to a certain customer-retailer relationship in NZ and we shouldn't settle for less. New Wing obviously does not care about people like me, who are only able to do small jobs at a time to make a comfortable home for my family. They obviously have enough money coming in to pull little acts like these. Omitting important information and changes prices when it suits should not be acceptable. I urge you all to please STAY AWAY FROM NEW WING as their customer service is severely lacking.
I told him I am a teacher and that I will be accountable for everything to do with my role. I will now have two blinds sitting at home when they are picked up because the people whose job it is to supply and install them are choosing not because of greed.

12th October 2013 BUYERS BEWARE! We went to buy blinds in New Wing. The blinds order was made with minimum help. When they promised to deliver in a week, it was ending up not ready in 4 weeks. When I was contacted to pickup the blinds, the blinds were not ready and I received no apologize at all. All I got was " come back next week" while I said I drove 30mins to get there! The following week I received another call but this time the size were WRONG! The lady did not apologize and in fact she was extremely rude. Obviously they did not check their goods before calling their customer. After that I called them during the week and all I could get was "we will call you when its ready". I was not pleased and commenting her attitude and she yelled back on the phone. At the end after over 6 weeks I got my one blind that supposed to be ready in a week time. I asked the lady to check to ensure all the parts are there but she refused and guess what, the brackets for hanging the blinds were missing when I tried to install it. I called and I got a very rude replied on the phone so hang up. I then called up their supplier directly and sorted it out within 2 days! In short, painfully long time for a single blind order. I had to drive there back and forth 4 times while 3 of them are wasted due to their mistakes. Extremely poor service and rude. I will never ever buy anything from them.

1st July 2013 Poor customer service , I also had to register a formal complaint. Please be carefull when you purchase a product also aroun the delivery periods.

30th December 2012 BUYERS BEWARE!
We went to buy Net Curtains at New Wing - The first lot came as "White", which was correct. The remaining ones came as OFF-WHITE. First we were told that they WERE white, but there is variation in colour. Then we were told that we had supplied our old curtains (which were off-white) and they had made them exactly the same - including the colour ( and that was our responsibility )... even though the order on the invoice was for WHITE.
Think several times before dealing with this company!
