Poultry & Game Bird Feeders. A feeder nozzle is screwed to the bottom of a bucket and feed placed into it, which runs into the nozzle. Depending on how the nozzle is set up the feed particles lock against each other in the nozzle, hence the name Nosloc, and stay there. The birds quickly learn to tap the nozzle which releases the feed. When the bird or birds stop tapping, the feed stops running. Thus we have an on demand gravity feeder. The feed is protected from weather, vermin, (Rats, mice, sparrows etc) provide regular feeding in remote areas, eliminate hand feeding, no feed wasted if there are no birds present. Be able to dispense different dry feed types:- Pellets, Wheat, Mash, Barley, Peas, Kibbled Maize, Whole Maize or a mixture of any of these.
After five years of field trials Nosloc Feeders have evolved into an efficient, affordable feeding system that has found favour with Hunters, Conservationists, Otorohanga Kiwi House (Brown Teal and Weka Breeding Programme), Auckland Zoo, Hobby Farmers, Ducks Unlimited, Dept of Conservation (Brown Teal Release Programme).
