TEACHERS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB
Founded: 1922 as Training College. Name later changed to Teachers College and Teachers.
Colours: Royal blue jersey with white band, white shorts, royal blue socks with white top. Later
jersey change to 4 inch hoops royal blue and white.
All Blacks: V C Butler 1928, J W Kelly 1949, D R Wightman 1951.
Teachers had its beginning in the early days when Training College was sited in the inner city where the Technical Institute now stands and its only sports grounds were at the Domain. In 1926 the site was moved to Epsom.
