18th December 2011 This holiday park is about 6kms past Te Araroa, tucked under the hill which winds over to Hicks Bay. We stayed in the motels - modern, high quality and spacious. Expect to pay about the same as in a more urban area, but worth the price after paying high prices for poorer quality places elsewhere. Attractive grounds and not far from the sea. Highlight is Erina's takeaway cart - she can cook you up the usual takeaway fare, or roast chicken or an Asian dish if you'd prefer. A nice find when you've been driving a long way and can't bear the thought of cooking... or just because you're on holiday.
