27th April 2012 I have had some truly brilliant bras fitted. With my small back and large cup size if the fit is wrong I look 10 years older. A good fitting bra leaves me feeling sexy and comfortable. Unfortunately I didn't get a good experience at Hot Gossip, Alexandra St, Hamilton. The assistant appeared only willing to bring me a couple of bras even though the shop was quiet. Perhaps that's all they had in my size, but I would have preferred a more honest approach. The assistant also made rude comments on my existing bra - it was a poor fit (I knew that but didn't need her rude comments as I had mentioned I was wearing an old one that no longer fit). However the big stinker was that I was fitted with a top dollar bra that was too big for me in the back size with a smaller cup. After several months I continue to truly regret purchasing it. I will not be back.

26th November 2011 I too have had a bad experience with this shop. I returned a prothesis which was still under warranty and was made to feel uncomfortable in doing so. I dont know why this prothesis leaked but i had taken very good care of it and followed what was recomended. I returned to the Te Awa base shop to pick up my prothesis that had been sent from auckland. On entering the shop a sales assistant said " here she is" pointed to me and ducked behing the stand to avoid seeing me. My reply was "are you hiding from me?" as it was obvious rudness and very offensive. The prothesis they had replaced it with was purposly marked at the bottom with pen and had no guarantee card with it. They assured me it was not second hand but to me it was definately not new. They had also asked me if i had money from NH and i responded by saying that is irrelevant and this is purely a replacement goods under warranty. The supplier they use in Auckland indicated that it was my fault which i find rather intriguing as she had not sighted it from the intial phone correspondence on my first visit. I had indicated to them i had spent alot of money in this shop just 4 months previously and they have fitted me in both a prothesis and bras over the last 6 years or so.
I found there customer service poor, offensive and unprofessional. They had had no empathy of how a breast cancer client felt when having to go through such a personal experience in replacing such an item.Unless this prothesis does't live out its warranty I will definately not be going through there doors again.

10th January 2008 Ok, I must say firstly that I've bought many bras from Hot Gossip over the last ten years, and some have been very good. However, the last time I went there, about a year ago, I had a very bad experience. I'm very busty, but with a small back - I normally wear a 12DD or E, which is often very hard to find. I was looking for a good quality bra to wear to my sister's wedding, and tried a few bras. The saleswoman wasn't helpful, and I wasn't particularly happy with any of the bras she brought me, which was only about two or three, from memory. When I suggested that the one I was wearing wasn't a good fit, she was obviously peeved, and said, "well, at your size, that's as good as you're going to get." Which just annoyed me so much that I immediately left the store, swearing I'd never darken their doors again. I actually went round the corner to Farmers, where the ladies were much more helpful and found me a lovely black bra to wear under my bridesmaid's dress. Plus, it was a lot cheaper than any of the bras at Hot Gossip. I think for a store that purports to be "the bra fitting specialist" that's just shoddy service and also rude. I mean, I've got big boobs, but they're not that big. I hate to think how they treat women who are an F cup or something.
