6th September 2010 The best restaurant in Hamilton. My partner and I frequent here for romance and good food. Beautiful, crisp and clean daycore. Their menu is always changing, and the chef experiments with interesting mixes that always work. The wine is always tantalising and compliments the food. Their dessert port is to die for. All of the desserts are incredible; some favourites of mine have been the feijoa sorbet, chocolate fondant and their almond biscotti is delicious. The waiting staff are always extremely professional and don't muck around or interrupt conversation. I would also recommend the degustation which is a night of absolute amazement for a very reasonable price. All of the dishes are presented beautifully. Some favourite dishes to try: the pork belly, quail and their goats cheese. The kind of restaurant you wish your boyfriend would propose to you at; but let you finish dessert first!
6th June 2013 Amazing food - wonderful blend of flavours and textures. Service was prompt and did not interrupt conversation at all. Good space between tables. Very good wine list. Would like to go back for a degustation meal.

22nd March 2011 Great food and atmosphere. Tuna starter was my favourite. Unfortunately, air conditioners weren't working that well and it gets really hot inside. No more panacottas left as well by the time we ordered dessert.

30th September 2010 We chose to celebrate a special family occasion at Palate because it featured as one of Cuisine's top restaurants.
While the food itself was delicious, we had an extremely long wait (an hour) between our entrees and mains and one meal came out over 5 minutes later than the rest.
When we paid I mentioned the long wait to the waiting staff who argued with me and blamed our late arrival at the restaurant.
I wouldn't go back because of our bad experience.
