14th December 2010 We found this to be a wonderful alternative to staying in Auckland on a recent trip to attend a friends wedding. The facilities in our 'honeymoon suite' were superb, and very spacious. Had a great kitchen, so good for self-catering option. The owner gave us a very good welcome but otherwise we were left in peace to enjoy our stay. The location was also very quite, but still with great access to the motorway north. Overall it was very good value for money we thought.

10th December 2010 Positive Response (You need to read the first message below): After calling the manager we were informed of the lack of communication. The owner was away working and it took time for messages between the three parties to all get processed. The manager was excellent again, we discussed the issue over the phone and he said he would contact the owner and infom him of the suggested discount. The owner emailed us back with a positive response, he gave us a discount better than the manager and I discussed. I am happy to fully recommend this stay to others, the manager and owner communicated our issues and provided us with an outcome that we feel was more than fear. I also feel that we cannot accept the discount offered by the owner and will pay the amount as discussed by the manager, which is somewhere in the middle. We would recommend this stay as an excellent place to stay, our first response was due to lack of communication and frustration that we felt we were not getting the discount we were offered. Many thanks for the stay, the place was quiet, friendly and most enjoyable.

30th November 2010 Poor Experience: My Wife, daughter of 20 months and I stayed here for 4 nights. We asked for place with two rooms, but when we arrived there was a mix up and we all stayed in one room. I talked with the manager who told me the owner made a mistake and we would get a discount, so we decided to stay. The room was nice, tidy, quiet, excellent facilities, friendly and help full manager. We enjoyed our stay, although during the day when bubs was sleeping I could not work (Software Developer). At the end of the stay the manager was not around. Latter on the bill arrived, with no discount, so I sent a reply back asking what was happening. The next email I received I was told we were offered the bottom rooms (This is not true, we would have accepted in a flash). The owner turned out to be a weird person, asking for his money, "and we will leave it at that". Due to the owner being such an unreasonable person I would NOT recommend staying here.

14th February 2010 My husband and I stayed here for two weeks, the accommodation was wonderful; clean and fresh. The owner, Brian was very helpful and friendly, he was very knowledgeable about interesting places in the area.-there were lots of brochures in the unit too. It was very easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go, Rotorua, The Coromandel and Hobbitsville to name but a few...
Auckland sounded a long way away at 70ks but wasn't at all.
We really enjoyed sitting outside of an evening looking at all the stars- they were amazing! We can't say anything about the food as we didn't eat in the main house- we had a couple of barbecues and made our own food in the unit. We would have no hesitation recommending Jonios to anybody and as soon as we can we'll be going back.
