2nd October 2013 Julie did hair and make up for a whole bunch of people on my wedding day. She was fantastic - such a good sense of humour! She kept people chatting and helped set a relaxed atmosphere. She listened carefully to what I wanted and did a practice run for me. She did a great job for everyone (young and old), assessing their style and look perfectly. Highly recommend her - especially if you think you are going to be stressed out. She's like a hilarious character out of a Marianne Keyes novel - she had us laughing all day.
Specialising in Make up and Hair Styling needs for film, television, beauty and magazine work. Currently working part time as a Hair & Make up assistant on several shows filmed around the greater Auckland area, to fit in my editorial and bridal commitments.
I love doing beauty make up for personal occasions such as Weddings, Birthdays, Make up Lessons and Hens and Birthday Parties. Its so much fun to help create a look with a client whether it's for their wedding day, a play or a shoot.
I'm based all around Auckland and Northland. With over 7 years experience in this industry in Ireland, England and New Zealand I have a very varied background which enables me to use my experience to my best advantage. I'm passionate about getting the needs of my client met and aim to suit my clients taste and theme however necessary.
Whether you need 'just a touch of make up' for a family photo, full make up for a ball or a dinner event, bridal or bridesmaids queries, any small thing is not too small.
I also do package deals for bigger events such as a special get together or bigger bridal parties. I have qualified assistants to help out on those occasions also!

8th October 2010 All I can say about Julie is that she is absolutely SUPERB!!!!!!!! She did my makeup and my sister's makeup on my wedding day and she was outstanding!!!!!!!!! She definitely worked her magic on me and turned me into a stunning bride. She was soooooooooo friendly that she kept me relaxed and calm (which I was normally bridezilla). My husband has never seen me sooooooooo beautiful....Julie is fabulous to have as your makeup artist and you will never be disappointed. LOVE her and her talent. I could never recommend Julie highly enough- FAB!!!!!!! She made my day the most amazing experience day of my life
