Our club is a lot of fun, our events are on our website and we have a newsletter each month. If you would like a copy of this newsletter please let me know.
Our membership is 67 at the moment, so we hold a lot of different types of events, some have 5 people attend and some have 20, it does not matter. We are out to provide a club that is about friendship and adventure.
Our fees are $50 for the first year and $40 for each year after that... why dont you go to our website, www.tuac.co.nz and see if there is an event that interests you. Perhaps come to an event and see what we are all about before joining up. If there is anything you want to know about let me know by email.

I've been a member of Thumbs Up for almost 10 years and my first challenge with the club was abseiling the Hunua Falls because of my fear of heights and I achieved it with a great supportive group. I've had great holidays and weekends away which are always heaps of fun and full of activities. I enjoy lots of activites which keep me fit and also the social things we do while being in the company of great friends.

I've been enjoying adventures and having fun in this club for around 8 years. I like it because it's not a singles club (I joined with a partner) and because of the acceptance of different ways of adventuring/experiencing life. It's great to share experiences with a bunch of active fun loving and truly supportive people. TUAC has enriched my life in so many ways.

I joined this club because I wanted to do more adventures with like minded people and less of sitting at cafes with friends. I have taken up cycling since joining this club and really enjoying the weekend bike rides and even training for a cycling event in Feb. What's unique about this club they do multi sports/adventures which makes it interesting and always something to try.

Funlovingperson I saw the TUAC newsletter for the first time 4 years ago and realized that there were so many activities I hadn't experienced yet but would like to do. Since joining I have been challenged and encouraged by great new friends to do so much and also seen many beautiful parts of NZ. Check out our website www.tuac.co.nz - we would love to hear from you.

What a nice, friendly bunch. Always positive, very relaxed atmosphere. You don't get rubbished if you don't like the bunggy jump or parachuting (like me). Only go along to what suits your lifestyle. Great group for me. Thanks guys and gals.

I've gained friends through this club. It's not a "singles club", as such, because most of the appealing members are women... so,if you're women you will feel safe. If you're a man, you'll be utterly ok if you're genuine...looking to get out and have fun. We've had such laughs. We're a mite irreverent. Last Saturday night summed it up for me. Wonderfully organised, the "Christmas Do" brought us sll together. We're a diverse lot, but we mingled and danced together and simply had fun. I love the fact that people in their "middle years" want to be adventurous. You may be 40 or 70 but, if you're prepared to get out on a bike or simply have fun, you need to check us out. Another thing I love about this club is that we accept differences. I remember an awesome weekend, where some members tumbled over waterfalls in rsfts, while one member felt she was stepping out by doing a small plane trip. That very same " wuss" put on the most wonderful dinner on the Saturday night.AND... we applauded her for her bravery in what she could manage. Thanks to TUAC, I've camped, kayaked, cycled, etc. But , more than that, I've met such nice, fun, positive people.

Thrillseeker. I have been a member of TUAC for about 12 years now and still find it an exciting club to belong to. As you have probably guessed, I enjoy the adrenalin type activities with a sprinkling of social activites. I have done things I would never have dreamt possible and been to places in NZ that would not be suitable for a person on their own. I have made lots of friends because we share a common interest and I have lots of wonderful, exciting memories. Why not come and join in the fun that this club offers.

I have been a member for about 4 years and I find the people in the club very adventurous.I do not go on all the activities but I pick certain ones.I class other club members more my friends then just club members.I think for $40 a year its one of the best clubs around for the adventurous people.Go on an activity and see for yourself.

I joined TUAC 5 years ago and have found myself doing things that i never thought I would do before. The club is full of friendly members that have a positive supportive attitude to ALL; Membership is so cheap at $40 per year and as a non profit organization there are no hidden extra costs added to the events or activities that you participate in. In fact a lot of the time we get a special rate for a group. If interested have a look at their website. www.tuac.co.nz
