fancy a break from the ponsonby croud? head to kingsland for the funky feel and great atmosphere without the pretense that P-road sometimes brings. the kingslander is a cosy place with a 'locals' feel to it. try the bar snacks - tasty with a brew and at the cheaper end of the scale.

A great place to watch the game.. A much more relaxed place to dine/drink/socialise than its neighbour up the road. The food is tasty and portions are generous. I hear that they are taking Bruscetta off the menu, which is a shame. The Kingslander has an excellent rewards card - I've been reaping the benefits for about 4 years.

Myself and my Partner had gone for dinner there last night, after scoring a $40 for $20 voucher for food and beverages on grabone.co.nz. Needless to say I was well impressed, The food was absolutely amazing, could well have been a plate from a fine dining restaurant. I had the Crispy chicken breast wrappend in bacon, and my partner had the Sirloin steak, it certainly was the best meal I have had in a while, portions were great, i I felt so full after walking out there. Everything was perfect. I must also mention that the waiter was realyl good and service was AWESOME. Really impressed. Will defnitely be heading there again. Well Done Kingslander!!!!

Good solid food, and fantastic range of on tap beer. They do Radler on tap which is not too common... Good atmophere. Good place to watch the rugby.

A great place when its busy. I was here for an All Blacks game which was great on the numerous big screens and was followed by a top notch covers band. The bar service is OK, if not a little slow, but I love that they serve jugs of beer. Food is fairly typical pub food. I think its only when really busy, but I had to get food from the bar myself. I didn't really like that. Overall, a regular I frequent when I know it will be busy. On quiet nights its not so great.
