The Ship & Anchor Restaurant & Bar is a British style pub and restaurant in the heart of Orewa Beach.
New Owners since April 19th 2010, Mark and Cheryl, have a great variety of Food and Beverages, all cooked in our own unique style. The restaurant also serves traditional English fare like bangers and mash, as well as a variety of delicious fresh seafood, steak and tasty vegetarian options.
In addition to New Zealand beers and wines, the bar also stocks imported English beers.
The pub screens all the latest sport on it's three Sky televisions and will be buzzing with the World Cup Rugby in 2011. Bring the family along and enjoy the decor, with toys for the kids along with a junior menu full of fun. Our friendly staff are waiting to welcome you.

It was a quiet Tuesday night and I was looking for somewhere special and local to take my gorgeous lady, I searched the net for that place and come up with nothing that actually stood out..Driving around we decided to stop at the Ship & Anchor Restaurant. This was not a mistake! We ordered the garlic bread which wasn't over powering as some other places seem to do, Followed by Shrimp cocktail which was well presented and flavoured..Our mains were the 'captains choice' a mouth watering steak (medium) cooked to perfection, topped with prawns, scallops and a side dish of garlic butter to use as you desired..along with the chips and salad this meal is a very good size. The restaurant is cosy, clean with a relaxing atmosphere. But the real wow factor for us was the service, Eddie and Devon were absolutely amazing they went above and beyond for us making our dining experience and engagement wonderful. I would like to thank you both for the fantastic night..also the chefs for the beautifully cooked food..Highly recommend this place, We will be going back...
