21st November 2012 Took my mother-in-law last Friday - we were in a bit of a hurry as had only just over an hour before we had another engagement to attend but that was not an issue, the staff were lovely and very helpful in getting our meals out quickly. I had the Duck and Anne had the Monk Fish - both were beautifully presented and delicious, cooked to absolute perfection! We shared a dessert (pure heaven) of pastry, creme and cherries - yummmm. Also, lovely to see such an extensive wine list!
Would highly recommend and will return again!!!

26th January 2012 Popped in for a casual dinner on a Friday evening and it was wonderful. I had the French Onion soup and Mr had the roast quail, both were tasty and full of flavour. Next I had the Duck in orange sauce, succulent and cooked to perfection with delicious Gratin of potatoes and beautifully cooked zucchini. Mr had the beef baked in a salt crust with blue cheese sauce, he could hardly speak it was so good! We shared a fresh and colourful ratatouille and still (only just)had room for pud! I had the fondant chocolate with home made orange ice cream, he had the creme brulee (delicious he said and wouldn't give me any! and he IS a connaisseur!)
We both had a French wine served at the perfect temperature and using our Entertainment Book had an extremely beautiful meal at very good value. Would recommend and definitely go back even with no voucher. Also awesome service from a true professional!

26th January 2012 Dining at St Germain is like dining in a chic Paris bistro. The decor is clean and minimal, and the French music in the background adds to the ambience. It is owned and staffed by a trio of French brothers. The menu is fantastic, with something for everyones taste. The service and attention to detail is exceptional. The portions are perfectly sized, not supersized - like alot of the restaurants in New Zealand (I believe that quantity doesnt neccessarily mean quality!) We dined at St Germain three times last year and we will definately be dining there again this year.
