21st November 2011 I went to Joe's garage with a couple of friends when I was in Wellington for the weekend. We arrived at around 11am and the place was jammed but the staff still managed to find us a nice table. Although the place was super busy the service was great - they took our order straight away and it took about 15 minutes for the food to arrive. I had the fish and prawn cakes which were delicious. One of my friends had the same although hers weren't heated right the way through. They happily remade the order and got it right the second time around. The coffee was really good too - nice and smooth.

5th February 2012 Very busy when I went at lunch time, long queue and noisy, but it depends if you like a noisy atmosphere or not. Didn't seem to be many smaller tables, mostly large tables for large groups. Good quick service, not much counter food but a long menu. Had the all-day-brunch pancakes which were good but not great. Didn't try the coffee, which is probably the main reason you would want to come here... have heard the coffee is good
