West Auckland Guitar Studios provides high quality personalised tuition for popular music on acoustic or electric guitar, bass guitar and ukelele.

Services range from one to one tuition for absolute beginners to lead guitar, instrument maintenance and digital recording.

The teaching studios are complete music studios with modern recording technology and an extensive range of teaching tools.

Being well established in West Auckland also provides a valuable network for students and parents seeking advice on new instruments and equipment, ongoing study paths for students, or development of basic home studios for students.

Tutors Robert Pike, Brent Fox, Shane Warbrooke and Sam Witherspoon have a combined experienced of over 65 years and offer a huge range of expertise along with a track record of success guiding some of Auckland's great up and coming musicians.


LESSONS

West Auckland Guitar Studios provides tuition in a range of musical styles, for all levels from absolute beginners to advanced players. Beginners are always very welcome, getting correct playing technique established from the beginning is very important.

A personalised course of tuition allows for those that simply want to learn songs and students seeking in depth theory or technical knowledge. High School NCEA performances, compositions and exam prep are also a common requirement for students.

Advanced classes in lead guitar performance, scale and harmony theory are also catered for.


RECORDING STUDIO

Performance standards always quickly improve, or are well and truly tested, by devoting some time to recording.

Any piece of music you choose can be recorded and we encourage the use of original material, however this isn(TM)t essential.

Both studios have the facility to record multi-track guitar, bass and vocals, and the main studio in Glen Eden has the facility to record an entire band, including live drums.
