Welcome to Smart Start, a fully licensed childcare centre for children aged 0-6 years.

We provide quality care and education based on Te Whaariki, the early childhood curriculum of the Ministry of Education. We include both indoor and outdoor play, with a focus on children learning at their own pace through play and interaction with others.

Each child receives a personal journal which is kept updated with their achievements, artwork and photos. This is a wonderful way to keep a record of your child's progress, and is given as a gift to the child when they leave Smart Start.

All meals are provided, with the exception being baby formula. We encourage children to be involved with the food preparation - including growing fruit, vegetables and herbs. A weekly menu is available for parents to review.

Our centre offers the 20 hours ECE subsidy for all 3-4 year old children.
