10th April 2012 I came here on Easter Sunday with a friend who was visiting and was happy to see they weren't charging a surcharge. The place was quite busy and the service a little slow. But the food (we both had the cheeseburger) was really tasty and nicely presented. This is a great place if you are looking for somewhere to sit in the sun and enjoy the waterview. Will definitely be back, would just be nice to get drinks a little bit quicker.

26th January 2012 I love Jack Tar! We were there on Saturday afternoon for drinks in the sunshine with a big group of people. The service was accommodating and cheerful and the drinks were delicious. We ordered quite a few breads/pizza breads and chips to keep the crew going which went down a treat. Will be back for sure!

12th September 2011 First visit to the new area, very cool! Jack Tar has a great layout and vibe. Service is good. Food is ok, $9 for a tiny green salad, $16 for salt and pepper squid to share. The squid was great but the portion wasn't. All in all a good friends hangout but the food is expensive and not as good as others around the viaduct.
