There are many activities to choose from including hiking, biking, water sports, kite-surfing, kayaking and in the winter three of the biggest New Zealand ski fields Treble Cone, Cardrona and the Snow Farm/Park are less than an hour away. It(TM)s really easy to go shredg with your mates for a day.
