Rata Lodge is within arms reach of pristine fishing rivers, lakes, expansive high country and mountains for hiking and biking, ski fields, superb golf courses, some of the best farmland in New Zealand and vibrant small country towns making it an outdoor paradise.

Passionate guides will help you discover the essence of our beautiful area untouched by the tourist crowds. Stunning, spacious landscapes, mountain backdrops, bush, lakes and tussock hills and only one hour from Christchurch.

We are excited to be able to offer guided day trips at a level to suit your group ability. Activities include tramping/hiking, mountain biking, farm tours, 4 wheel drive backcountry exploration and creative workshops. We can provide any unique combo, don(TM)t be afraid to ask!
