Lilburn Farm is a 2000acre hill country beef breeding farm, specialising in commercial Hereford cattle, located 80km North of Christchurch.
Farmstay Accomodation is availbable in our shearers quarters (sleeps 6)and a variety of activities are available.
Tramping or Walks
Fishing along our 5km Hurunui River Boundary.
Bring your horse and trek around the farm. Farm maps provided and nice holding paddocks for your horses overnight. The road up here is shingle and we would recommend 4WD if you are towing two horses. We are a beef breeding farm so you will be riding amongst bulls, cows & calves at times and you will need to be able to ride quietly at a walk through them.
Directions;
From Belfast
Proceed North on Main North Road/SH1 past Kaiapoi, through Woodend & Amberley.
Left onto Scargill Valley Road (opposite the Greta Valley Caf & Bar)
Right onto Overtons Road
Left into Stewarts Run Road (engage 4WD as the road gets a little steep near the top)
(Lilburn is the only homestead at the end Stewarts Run Rd, past the pine trees)
