18th September 2013 I have eaten at Bethanys several times and there are a number of things I really enjoy. The setting is great, particularly if you have out of town people visiting. I have enjoyed sitting by the window upstairs with guests enjoying views over the square. The food is superb and the menu often changes to keep things interesting. The other thing I have really enjoyed is the great service as this always makes the evening go really well. If there was a '6' stars out of 5, I would give that, but as there isn't we will have to settle for 5 out of 5!!
Bethanys Restaurant & Cafe is located right in the heart of the city. Dining upstairs gives you an awesome view of The Square or you can sit outside, relax and have something to eat. Selection can be made from the menu or from our cabinet food, all freshly made on site.
Bethanys Restaurant & Bar can cater for functions; 80 sitting down or 120 standing. See our website for function menus.
Bethany's serves breakfast/brunch, light meals, lunches, dinner and dessert. Its opening hours are 9:00am until late Monday to saturday and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Sunday.
Bethany's Restaurant & Bar serves Modern New Zealand European-influenced cuisine.

26th September 2011 Dined for dinner on a weeknight, very busy with large groups. Obviously a very popular place! Good variety of dishes on menu. Chose the lamb rump which was cooked to well done - I would have preferred medium rare (werent asked how would like it cooked). It was still fairly tender though considering. The accompanying couscous with feta and medeterranian vegetables really complimented the dish and was all very nice. Service was good enough, though the staff were concentrating on the larger tables we were still looked after. Nice views of the square if you sit upstairs. One of my favourite places to dine in Palmy.

10th November 2010 This restaurant came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. The food is fantastic with the garlic bread the best I have tasted and the steak cooked to perfection and the mash very tasty. The seafood pasta absolutely delicious. Priced quite reasonable.

4th November 2010 The food at Bethany's is excellent and the Creme Brulee is absolutley awesoe. Thanks to this particular dessert my waist line is forever expanding! My first choice when selecting somewhere in Palmerston North for lunch.

31st August 2010 Fabulous coffee and delicious muffins, always. This cafe has a lovely atmosphere and feels very high-end yet has reasonable pricing. I have yet to experience their restaurant dining but will do so in the near future as it has been highly recommended to me.
