31st August 2010 A couple of weeks ago my husband and I went to Black Salt for dinner. We both ordered the Seabed and Foreshore Stone Grill meal. The stone grill option is such a cool way to have a meal. We had a couple of friends join us for coffee, but when they saw what we were eating both decided to order a stone grill meal also. The waitress who was serving us was exceptionally helpful and went out of her way to make our requests work for us all. We had a really great evening. The Friday night we went, there was also live music while we were eating. A fantastic experience and will definitely be going back.

22nd November 2010 Best restaurant in New Lynn, we had our two children with us aged 5 and 7, so needed a child friendly restaurant, top marks - crayons and colouring in - perfect, Stone Grill was an amazing experience - would definitely do it again next time I come here, as it was 5.30pm it was quite quiet, had a group of after work business people, which the restaurant was well suited to as well. Very versitile restaurant. (down point, lasagne had too much - 2cm thick white sauce!!) Overall very pleased. Plenty of parking at the rear of the building with a rear entrance as well.

12th September 2010 We really enjoy having a lunch at Black Salt. The stone grill is excellent. The atmosphere is great and for a business lunch easy to communicate with guests. Our favourite restaurant in New Lynn.

27th August 2010 This establishment has given New Lynn a classy venue to meet, eat and drink in. I feel comfortable taking my clients there during the week with their great grab and go menu or popping in on Saturday night to watch the footie. The staff are good and the food is generally of a good to high standard. The only thing they could improve on is a rather stodgy desert menu. But in all top rating.

26th August 2010 Stone Grill dining is the most awesome thing I have ever experienced!!
Black Salt is a fantastic restaurant and bar, with great service, great variety (pub quiz wednesday, live music friday etc), a great place for a drink, and always has great food.
The wild food challenge dish was amazing too!

2nd July 2010 A fabulous meal thoroughly enjoyed by the three of us I had slow roasted pork belly the others cooked their own scallops, steak etc The service was spot on The chef must have been delighted to see empty plates Would recommend to anyone Trish
