1st August 2011 A group of 28 of us went here for a 21st dinner in the weekend. We all agreed it was the best service we have had in a long time especially with the young children. The food was beautiful and came out very promptly considering there were 28 meals. We all had a fantastic night/holiday and would defiantly recommend this restaurant to all travellers staying in Hanmer.

4th April 2011 The cafe is stylish and welcoming but the food was disappointing to say the least. Looking for a tasty Sunday brunch we were served an over-cooked crispy tasteless omelette, eggs benedict smothered in hollandaise that was overpowered with wholegrain mustard and the intriguing kumara corn cakes which was just sloppy mashed kumara on a huge pile of lettuce. The scrambled eggs and bacon on a bagel was the only good thing about the food. The coffee however, was delightful (Hummingbird coffee). It was also disappointing that they could not offer freshly squeezed OJ with brunch. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this for brunch.
