Allan a talented sculptor and fitter welder of Canterbury, New Zealand has adapted his trade and artistic flair to create sculptures of steel.
Being self-taught, Allan has drawn on his passion for photography, travel and gardening to create his sculptures. Graceful, elegant, functional and at times outright quirky, his works have a touch of surrealist charm. Creative versatility and ability to master the changing character of welded steel is evidenced in his unique sculptures .
Allan's sculptures remain unnamed, he wishes the viewer to make their own interpretations without the influence of the sculptor.
After eight years of sculpting Allan held his first exhibition in february 2009. His exhibition proved a great success with outstanding reviews.
