We treat diners to exceptional food and service, serving an extensive range of the freshest seafood, pizza and lots more, alongside exquisite New Zealand wines.
There are two types of services - Monday to Saturday try our Killer Prawn Restaurant from 12noon until late in front of the open fire, and on Friday and Saturday the Killer Pizza oven is open - relax upstairs in the snug room with it's wood-fired pizza oven.

26th May 2011 My husband and I were visiting the Far North and stopped in Whangarei for a night on our way through. With recommendations from friends to have dinner at the Killer Prawn and after checking with our accommodation host who suggested Killer Prawn too we were looking forward to an enjoyable dining experience. We weren't disappointed. I love the building, the decor and the atmosphere inside, a nice warm welcome from the moment we walked in until we left a few hours later. Nothing was too much trouble for the wait staff, service was prompt without being rushed and the follow up firendly without being intrusive. Both our meals were well cooked, tasty, imaginative and seasoned just right. I had the signature "Killer Prawn" dish which was very tasty and my husband had the steak(cooked to perfection) with a blue cheese melt which he enjoyed - no complaints there. For dessert we had the Honey Sesame Tuile and the Creme Brulee.....these really were to die for! With our meal we had a bottle of Craggy Range Reserve Merlot at the suggestion of the Maitre d' which was an excellent match. We enjoyed the experience and the food so much we stopped for lunch there again on our way back home. And it was just as brilliant.
If you enjoy good food, wine and a warm welcome then you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

7th September 2010 Love the Pizzas and the Bar situated upstairs. Nice location and friendly service. What I enjoy most is the christmas functions they put on. Keep it up.
