Staying at Shailer's was a highlight of our trip to New Zealand, we enjoyed it very much and will remember it for long time.
The house is beautifully situated with great views over Pirongia mountain. All rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The food was really great (the Louise Cake and salmon rolls are still in our memory!). These are all quantifiable things, but what was really unforgettable is hospitality and kindness of our host - Dianna and Charlie who made our stay really great! They are very helpful and friendly. We recommend staying at Shailer's B&B and if we come back once to NZ we will definitely visit Dianna and Charlie.

The highlight of our 2 weeks in New Zealand! We had a wonderful time at Shailer's. The food was amazing (Dianna is a gourmet cook), and the conversation even better. They even gave us a tour of the farm. We left feeling elated and well fed. We really can't recommend it highly enough. If you're anywhere near Hamilton, stay here! We will definitely go back.

While staying in New Zealand on a combined business/pleasure trip, my husband and I had the privilege of staying with Charlie and Diana Shailer who went above and beyond to make our stay in New Zealand comfortable and memorable. We will never forget their kind consideration of business needs as well as the homelike environment they provide. It was truly a home-away-from-home for us. My husband and I give it our highest recommendation. (as an added bonus Diana is an excellent cook!)

Stayling at Shailers exceeded any expectations of a family-style B&B. Hospitality was heartfelt, plentiful and generous. The hosts were happy to share their company or respect our privacy. The food was delicious. And the home and gardens beautiful and very comfortable. We would stay there again without a doubt, and highly recommend it to other travellers. We booked Shailers B&B with the view of having a relaxing weekend away from the city and the pressures of everyday life. Also it was to be the last little holiday for us parents-to-be! Shailers is a home away from home with friendly pets included. The beds are so comfy and the food is awesome!! It is very hard to say "no" to such good home cooking, our compliments to the chefs. We didn't want to go home at the end of the weekend. We would totally book again in a split second if we could. Charlie & Dianna were the perfect hosts and the B&B truly lived up to all that we were expecting.

Our family arrived jetlagged from the UK and had a glorious few days in the country being spoiled and generally looked after by our attentive hosts. The views are great especially on a hot summer evening on the deck with a glass of wine, good food and interested hosts! The rooms are spacious and comfortable and have all you need in them. I can unreservedly recommend this homestay for one or many nights!

I am Coeliac and must have Gluten Free food. The Shailers catered for my needs perfectly and gave myself and my wife a wonderful weekend. I am looking forward to my next stay with them and thoroughly recommend their hospitality to anybody needing a restful break away from the hustle and bustle of life. A stay to remember.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was nicely decorated, the bed was extremely comfortable and the Shailers were excellent hosts. We really appreciated the option of having evening dinners cooked for us. The quality of the meals were great and we thoroughly enjoyed them - it also meant that we could remain in the country since we didn't need to travel into the city to find a restaurant!
