A fantastic pub serving up great food and beer in the historic township of Port Chalmers. Open Monday to Friday 3pm till late and Saturdays/Sundays from 11am till late.
10th November 2012 Me and my boyfriend who is a chef happened to interest in trying a steak..(for it's a steak night..moooooooo!!!)...It's a nice place to relax,wishing and expecting to have a steak according to it's price. We were so dissappointed to have our steak cut already with a burned sunny side up egg on top..(I wish i could upload photos).The fries was burned too and tipped from it's kinda "flower pot" container and was picked up by hand by the waiter and was still served to us..I was thinking he will gonna change it..but nope..we asked to change our ordered egg, and the next thing was even funnier...the other egg is on top of the other,like it was done by a 4 year old child...( No star for that restaurant)

12th October 2012 Nice pub but not much good as a restaurant. Nice interior with a fire and tables but the meals are a real let down. Quite small serving sizes and average quality for the price. Polite staff but not very interested in providing a good place to dine out unfortunately.
nice clean bar friendly helpful staff great for sports and racing :)
