We are please to inform you about the change of ownership at Gateway Hotel. Important good news is that refurbishment, renovation and improved guest facilities are on immediate plan. Incorporation of deluxe air conditioned rooms and installation of a Spa Pool, Gym, SKYTV and Internet is set for completion in Phase 1 soon.

This hotel is close to the Apollo motorhome station and to the airport, and (as it turned out) also to bus stops to downtown Auckland. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful (we got a ride to Onehunga); I can absolutely confirm that they are "willing to go that extra mile". The free pickup and dropoff at the airport are very useful. If we travel to Auckland again and need a place to stay before heading off with a motorhome, we will return to this hotel.
