30th August 2010 Cosy, warm, nice food and friendly staff! Suprisingly busy for a Wednesday night, but still found a table straight away. Even a real Irish band playing while we were there. Thank you for your prompt service and reasonable prices.
31st August 2010 Clearly a lot of work has gone in the design of this authentic Irish Pub. It is as Irish as most of the country taverns I've been to in Ireland - possibly because so much of those taverns has ended up in this Village Inn!
This Village Inn is very busy catering for the diverse Havelock North residents throughout the day - providing brunches and lunches through to family dinners and evening entertainment. The variety of beers is commendable and the pub food consistent and predictable. The variety of seating areas is handy for different groups.
If you want a quiet or sophisticated meal, nearby places are probably more suitable but if you want prompt service and reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere you can't miss this place.
