3rd September 2013 Struck gold when I had the pleasure of a night at Waihou Bay Lodge, in one of the upstairs apartments Tasteful, modern, comfortable, spacious and very clean with gob smacking million dollar views (particularly sunrise, which must be seen to be believed) and all the bits and pieces you might need to self cater. Fabulous covered deck to sit and watch the world go by. Wee restaurant downstairs for a hearty meal if you can't be bothered cooking, and small store next door for last minute purchases (limited goods sold here). Authentic, genuine and friendly staff made this night such a pleasure. Recommend you don't miss if you are wandering round the coast looking for a comfy place to rest.
