12th February 2014 We had a very bad experience with the Village Cobbler. My wife took in a brand new pair of shoes ($189) to have them dyed for our daughter's wedding. She was given a colour match card from TRG (http://trg-theone.com/main/products) and asked to choose a colour. She was under the impression that TRG dye would be used. When she went to collect the shoes the colour was quite different and the paint finish was uneven across the shoe and heel. She left the shoes at the shop to gather her thoughts and find out her rights. When we went back the cobbler had resprayed the shoes, a much closer colour and a better finish, but still with paint on the edge of the sole. He admitted that he only used TRG products when he was using a metallic colour that he could not mix himself. I tried to explain that if he had used the correct product we would have accepted the colour. In the end I paid $70 but I strongly recommend that you do not use this service. Or if you do, don't expect too much from it. I have no idea what sort of paint was used on the shoes.

7th September 2012 I had a very bad and costly experience at the village cobbler in Bryndwr. I took a pair of shoes in to be dyed. They cost me $250 and they were absolutely ruined,
The owner of the business had used masking tape on the shoes and when it was taken off it took patches of the leather off as well so the shoes were ruined. he tried to say they were damaged when I took them in but they weren't. I gave him the opportunity to fix them but he just didn't. He charged me $80 for ruining my shoes. I would never deal with this business again. I thought at least he could have apologised and not had the nerve to charge me for his bad work.
