16th September 2010 Yes! I would have to agree, the owner had been very nice and ensured that we were happy with our meals. Also went there for a Yum Cha one weekend and left satisfied. Did not even have to wait long considering its popularity. Menu also had variety which was great.
An authentic taste of China comes in the form of Wellington's Big Thumb Restaurant. Diner's have the choice between Yum Char delicacies at lunch time, or an a la carte menu of traditional main dishes and entrees for dinner.
Big Thumb have great facilities for functions and special occasions. Set Menus are available on request.
22nd September 2012 Worst bbq pork buns ever. Paid $8 on 22/9/12 @ around 12 noon for 3 tiny take-away buns. Never coming back again. Got 6 for the same price at Grand Century. Don't waste your time and money @C Thumbs up. It's a BIG Thumbs Down!

1st September 2010 This is one of our favourite Chinese Restaurants in central Wellington. As it's quite large, it often has a vibrancy about it, but it's just as popular with one or two people dining as it is with large groups. The menu is comprehensive and includes Banquet options if you're in a bigger party. The food seldom varies from being of very good quality. Generally you won't have to wait too long for a table in the evenings, but if you're fronting up for Yum Cha at a weekend, you may need to wait a short while as it is popular.
