9th January 2012 In summary: a top quality business that I regularly recommenced to friends & family. I have have used Baywatch for several years at both sites & have always found them to be helpful, honest & their work to be top quality & reasonably priced. They have done work from simple battery replacements & bracelet adjustments through to replacing crystals, crowns & even entire movements. I have various watches from Seiko's & Citizens through to Omega's, Rado's & Longines in both automatic & quartz & I have been more than happy with their work on all of these. The quality of work is great, the estimates are accurate (& this is difficult on rare/old watches) & they always call when the job is done. In the rare instance that they cannot fix something they are honest enough to say so & recommend alternative - something that is very rare in business but greatly appreciated.
In short: don't risk any nice watch to an untrained mall worker who will do it while you wait, even for a battery. Take it to Baywatch, give them a few days or hours & sleep easy. It will probably cost you no more. An unreservedly recommneded business Tauranga can be proud of.
2nd April 2012 If your looking for a watch re-pair person i highly recommend Harvey at Bay Watch on Time in Elizabeth Str.
I took my watch into Harvey after i'd been told that it wouldn't go anymore, and he agreed to keep it at work and that if it was possible he would fix it for me,and he did just that..not only did he re-place the entire mechanism,he also put the crystal that had fallen out of the face of the watch back in and replaced the one that wasnt even there with a new one.AND,he only charged me what we had agreed on.. THANK YOU so much Harvey. (My watch looks AWESOME!!)
Five stars are not even close more like 10+ stars.
Kindest Regards Joanne.

6th October 2011 Who is this "Rileycocker" guy???? Sounds very demanding and unreasonable to me after reading both his post and Baywatch's reply. He indicates he would not go back to Baywatch......... I would think that Baywatch would probably be relieved about that, after all they gave a very reasonable explanation as to why he couldn't get what HE wanted and you wouldn't want such a person getting in the way of giving top-class service to the other appreciative customers.
I am a watch collector and have dealt with Baywatch for over 9 years after coming to Tauranga from Auckland. By having close to 30 watches in my collection, (most of which have at some time needed attention from Baywatch), qualifies me to state, loud and clear, that I have never had such professional, helpful, friendly service from any other retailer/repairer. So much so that it is a pleasure to recommend 'Baywatch On Time' to other Forum Members in my reviews on "TKNZ" (http://timekeeper.co.nz/). Thank you Harvey & David, Will

19th August 2011 Baywatch have serviced my watch collection, vintage automatics & manual winds to modern quartz, for five years. They have always provided in-depth and professional service and advice at a reasonable price. These guys go the extra mile - thanks !

26th July 2011 Non existant after sales service. In spite of spending close to $2,000 with Baywatch in Tauranga, they had no interest in servicing my Tissot, were unable/unwilling to order and fit a new strap or to even replace the battery.
I am so very dissapointed as they were quite happy to sell me the watch in the first instance. Next time I buy a watch (or any item of value for that matter) I will make sure that I consider the after sales service and the customer attitude of the store/staff. I will not spend any more money at Baywatch Tauranga and advise you to make sure you know who you are dealing with when making a purchase.

2nd August 2011 Thank you for your feedback. At Baywatch we strive to provide our customers with the highest levels of customer service and take any negative feedback very seriously. Although it is extremely unfortunate that we were unable to provide the customer with the level of service he was seeking it is important to us that the following points are mentioned.
The watch in question is a technical repair that requires care and attention and in many cases would be sent to the agents in Wellington for repair.
The battery and pressure test of this watch would normally be carried out by our fully qualified watchmaker on site and the customer would be offered an overnight service with collection by 10am the following morning.
In this instance it was not that we were unable or unwilling to help the customer but the fact that the watch was bought into our store at around 4.30pm and we were under the impression that that it was required that day as the customer had a flight to catch. This would have only allowed 30 minutes for us to complete the repair before closing.
At that point in time we were simply unable to complete the battery and pressure test because of the insufficient time frame. We find it regrettable that we have lost a customer and will be reviewing our customer handling procedures.
