6th May 2011 I am reluctant to give these guys even half a star. I have out of control curly wavy hair and when my old straightener broke I went out next day and bought a brand new GHD from these guys as I couldn't bear the thought not having any straighteners for even a few days. Got it home found it was turning off and not hot enough and my old elchipos had done twice as gooda job....obviously broken. Contacted them and was told that they would send the straighteners away and it would take 3 weeks to get an aswer back...OMG what am I going to use, they told me they can't even loan me one, give refund or anything. Has taken me 6 months of putting up with crappy low heat GHD (hair starts to curl during the day, takes several times for each strand to straighten) to pluck up the courage to send them away. Have just found out a friend had also just bought her new GHD's from here and hers are broken too. When questioned the sales lady told me that all the white GHD's have been faulty but there have been no problem with the pink ones (which mine is). I am extremely dissapointed that I have not been offered a refund so I can repurchase when obviously GHD has some known and major issues with their irons. At the very least I would be happy with a couple of days repair service - just like every other appliance repair (Its only going to Auckland for crying out loud !!!). I would urge caution in dealing with this shop and try to find another place to buy your irons from just in case the faults are ongoing and they need to be repaired. Otherwise you'll be walking around for 3 weeks looking like a woolly mammoth - just like me!!
