26th March 2011 Came here with my Father while he was down for business. We shared three starters including some of the season's first Bluff Oysters, immaculate presentation and great red wine vinaigrette. The other starters were calamari and Plato's great Paua Patties, cooked wonderfully and with good mixture of sauces and textures. I had the Salmon main and although I have worked in seafood restaurants and lived in major seafood areas all my life, i have to say that this was the best salmon i have ever had. Cooked absolutely to perfection with great tarragon accompaniment (A risky sauce but it payed off!) and delicious gnocchi. Great wine selection with lots by the glass as well as BYO option. Amazing atmosphere and competent, casual and personable staff. They left us our privacy -a trait sadly lacking in some fine dining restaurants- although my only negative comment was that we were left with empty glasses for too long. One of my best nights out in a long time and definitely will return in the future. Thanks Plato for a great night out!

16th March 2011 Iv been here a few times and its usually great. Went recently with a group of friends and one of the fish dishes was swimming in butter and not to our liking but it might just be our taste?? We sent it back because we thought something was wrong with it but they said thats how they always serve it. Otherwise have always found the food lovely. Service could be a little friendlier :)

15th October 2010 Visited Plato for a special occassion and we were so happy with our choice. My chicken dish came with some amazing brioche, and our starter of salt and pepper squid was delicious!
Really cool interior aswell, heaps of retro ornaments and things to look at.

26th August 2010 We visited Plato for my husband's birthday and had a small group with us. Plato had a very friendly atmosphere and the food was delivered in good time and was delicious. The meals were a good size and very filling. Special mention needs to be made of the desserts which were divine.
