24th August 2007 I visit One Stop Model & Hobby every time I am in or pass through Whangerei. It is the only business of its type anywhere North of Auckland and it could be one of the busiest hobby shobs in New Zealand. The stock on the shelves is all old but if you are a collector, as I am, there are some really unique models on display - but nor for sale!
I drove from Auckland to Whangerei for a specific models which had been on sale the last time I was there and went in:
At first I thought there was nobody in the shop but then I realised that the owner was in the back following an auction on trade me. I could tell that my presence was annoying him and he wanted me to get out as fast as possible. I asked him about a model to which he replied "It's not for sale". I asked about some other items all of which were not for sale either - all he wanted to do was get back to his computer!
I will never go there again and advise anybody who reads this to stay away.
i think the guy is very rude , and not very helpfull at all
